A friend of mine just had her Golden Retreiver shaved and the poor thing looks so aweful. They left most of the head, legs & tail but had the rest shaved right down and it's a different, very much lighter color. He looks so goofy now! Attached is a before and after pic of him. lol |

Is this something they normally do or was there a reason they shaved her? I've never heard of a Golden being shaved before.
