I just had Bella at the groomers yesterday. For most of the first year of her life her hair was pretty easy to maintain, I could brush her every few days and she would be fine. It seems like since she reached a year all of a sudden she's matting underneath (belly, under arms, etc) and suddenly I had a problem. Well like I said I took her in yesterday and Jennifer did such a great job. She's basically shaved all under her belly and under arms and her top coat is a little longer and almost hangs like a skirt so you can't even tell she's shaved underneath. The length is just past her belly. She looks so good and now that she's matt-free I'll be brushing her daily to keep those nasty matts away! I have an electric razor and I think I'm going to try to keep up on the shaving myself, I don't know if it will work because she does NOT like to hold still. I don't know if this would be a good compromise with your hubby & daughter or not, if the matts are underneath this may work for you guys. If I have time over the weekend to figure out how to post pictures I will (I usually only get on the computer during the day when at work, not big on computer time at home which is where all of my pic's are). Although I must say, the pic's of Buddy are adorable, he looks great!
