This may sound funny, but your Simon is expressing his dominance. If it bothers you, like it also did me, you can stop him from humping by taking his pillow away in a loving matter, and deviate his attention to something else.
His humping is normal, and is not related to procreation.
My sister nick named my dog Humpfree. So don't worry!
