Default So how can you tell if a breeder is a good breeder?

If breeding just for the money is the definition (basically) ..... then how do you determine if a breeder is a good breeder or a bad? If they are breeding to enhance the breed - I like that idea. I think that it just makes sense to breed two beautiful yorkies that will made an even better one....but how do you know if the breeder you use does that?

I have 3 beautiful babies (which I am still trying to figure out this picture upload thing) and I got them from the same breeder which I think are picture perfect. She seems knowledgeable and her yorkies are beautiful. She has a kennel, but every thing is clean and you never smell urine in there or in her house. I see lots of dog food, and lots of grooming equipment and stuff. I ask to see her breeding pens, Nursery, and I ask to see her breeding paperwork, and everything looked OK to me, but what do I know. What else do you look for?

Forgive me for continuing to ask, but I just want to better the breed, not hurt it, I love my yorkies too much for that.
