Hi Elaine...Are you familiar with the book series by Stephanie Plum about a girl bounty hunter in New Jersey? (One for the Money, Two for the Dough, etc.) I LOVE these books, they are so funny and sily.

So we liked the name Jersey and these books are set in New Jersey, and we always have a color in our dog's name (so we used Plum from the books and Blu because he is blue, our last name means The Valley and we live in a valley, and he was always meant to be a stud dog, so his registered name is: LaVail's Plum Blu Jersey Casanova. But we call him Jersey Boy because he is such a gentle sweet little guy!

Thanks for asking. I'll bet there could be a whole thread on why we select the names we do.
