I am all about upgrading. LOL
And will do my best to help advise on what would work best on your Yorkie's coat. I don't typically use the slickers on my Yorkies I prefer the brushes with long pins. Reason being is it gets down close to the skin and gets all those little "tangles" out. In my opinion the slickers are more for "poof" which is why I recommended the Mark X (this baby is very tiny!!! it would take you all day to groom a dog with it, the head measures about an inch across by max an inch long) for the leg furnishings. When I am brushing regular coat (not furnishings) is when I prefer the pin brushes. But again it is all personal preference. Hope this helps.
