I have dry food (and water) out for my puppy at all times and I feed her canned din din 3 times a day now. She's 5 mos. now, but when she was 11 weeks I would feed her 4 times a day.
I feed her the canned servings in her crate. When she is done, I take her directly outside to do her business. This helps a great deal with house training. It also lets me know how much she ate, as I have an 8 yr old westie who is after her food
