When they are puppies they should be fed alot. and must always access to fresh water.
I gave my snickers when i just got him 3 till 4 times a day a little.
And now 2 times a day.. but in the afternoon he gets treats and also his normal food as treats.. so thats ok.
I dont think its ok to keep the food all day standing,. cause then you get lazy dogs i hear. And also its better to get him potty trained when you give him on certain times.
Mine gets food after his walk in the morning between between 10 and 10.30 am and between 6-7pm
when you know when he has ate you can let him rest and then you can walk him after.. so you know he needs to make a doodle.. lol

when you dont know when your puppy has been aten you never know when he is gonna do his doodle..
But thats my opinion..
Snickers is doing 85% everything outside when we do walks or when he is in the garden.. so it works pretty good. Also they told me this on the puppy classes i do with him.

My puppy is pretty small- she is 11 weeks and just over a pound I think. My mom has a larger yorkie- 4.8 pounds at 12 weeks- I wonder is her dog should only be fed at certain times? |
