Too bad that they have had their first heats and have not been spayed yet. I believe it is an old wives tail that they should have a heat. Some people even believe that they should have one litter! YIKES!!
Once there is a heat they are 90% more likely to have uterine and or breast cancer later in life.

It is just not healthy for them if they are not show dogs, or meant for breeding.
My little Cricket was a show dog and I knew she would never be large enough to carry a littler. Show dogs are not allowed to be "surgically altered" I spayed her at a very young age anyway and I (admittedly did a wrong thing) showed her anyhow. I know it was wrong, but we were only showing for the fun of it, not for seriousness, and I do not believe it hurt anything to have her spayed.
ALTHOUGH I WOULD NOT EVER DO THAT AGAIN.
I did it to protect her from potential physical problems in the future.

As soon as the heat is over, please get them spayed asap.
It does give them cramps just like we get, they feel out of sorts and "yucchy" for a while.
JMHO...
