Sad sadly

Lots of groomers are kinda dumb/quirky/uneducated.
Not to insult my own group of peers, but in Michigan, and in the USA in general, there is no licensing requirement, no testing, just grab a pair of scissors and a clipper and you are in business! Most of the "groomers" pet smart and other stores like them use are learning to groom on your pets!
This is common practice. They have a supervisor with barely enough training to do a good job themselves, and they are on their own...
This is sad because it gives us all a bad name. I am an educated woman, college degree in nursing, and I try to be conscientious in my work, and compassionate in my care of others pets. I always put myself in the pets place and imagine how they feel in the grooming salon. Scared, nervous, whatever...but so many groomers are ignorant, do what they want, and often do not treat the pets in their care very nicely, or their owners for that matter.
JMHO...
