Don't give up yet! I had the same exact problem. You probably made your font a color that is covered by whatever the background is...that's what I did! After you pick colors, click preview then you get an idea of what you're doing. It IS confusing, but when I see everyone's cute pages, I'm motivated...plus I like being able to make new friends just for fun....hang in there!
