The frustrating thing about iTunes is that you can only synch it to one computer. So if you have your library on one computer that's the only one you can synch it with unless you erase all the stuff you already have on there. Which is what I did b/c I wanted to synch mine to a new computer (and I was kinda tired of the stuff I had on there, plus, I can always put it on my library b/c most was cd's I already have).
I think it's a good idea if you really want to save a song, or songs, to put them into an email and save it into your saved mail or something like that so that you can get it from any computer.
I've never been able to synch to another computer with my iPod without losing everything I have on it...but my other computer didnt' die, so I've got the old stuff still on it if I want to lose all the new stuff. That's the beauty of APPLE
