Default Hello Gardeness and Xiju

Hi Linda,

Hopefully we will have a meet up of our own for Yorkies around Burlington and Hamilton and maybe Oakville. That would be nice!

Hi Gardeness,

If you do a search on YT, you will find lots of info on how to pick a puppy. Some people tend to pick the first one that came up to them, some pick based on how they feel towards each pup and others use a guideline. For example, some will carry a pup on its back (like a baby) and look at whether pup is squirmy or not to determine how submissive/aggressive a pup is. There are other tests like shaking coins in a can to see which are timid and which are curious. Also, as you have mentioned, eyes are clear, ears are clean although I brought home mine with ear mites when he was young but it cleared up easily with ear solution from the vet. Good luck in finding your puppy! Just to share, I got mine, well I didn't even get to pick because he was the last of the litter because he was the bigger one but I saw him, melted in love and brought him home Even as a pup, he wasn't very naughty, very laid-back and was just a little timid but since I was home all day I socialized him lots lots and he thrives. For me, since I am a little shy and timid I prefer to socialize and train a pup that is a little timid then controlling one that is over confident/aggressive so pick a pup that suits you best and you will find it easier to train!
