 I would bile acid test
Has he had a bile acid test? I would STRONGLY advise a bile acid test for all yorkies. Mine came from a supposedly healthy line and he has had bladder problems and has LS. I never tested him because of him appearing incredibly healthy, beautiful, and coming from a show line currently doing very well in the show ring. I would bile acid test to be on the safe side. Then if something is wrong, you can prevent high medical costs and future problems like I currently have. I wish I hadn't relied on what the typical LS dog's symptoms are because maybe I could have prevented bladder problems...however...the bladder problems also could be a separate genetic problem as well so who knows but better safe than sorry I now say. |
