Thank you thank you thank you for all the prayers today!! They worked... Little Aidyn had become dehydrated yesterday, and blame it on my lack of sleep...that's the one thing I had forgotten to check for. Anyways, I got him in to be checked, they pumped him full of IV fluids (how depressing it was to see that tiny boy with a needle in him ) and gave him a shot of antibiotics. I fed him right afterwards, then again two hours later, and then the third time I went to feed him and he was already full!! So he's back to nursing BUT I am still tube feeding about every 4-5 hours just to keep him good and full all the time. His tummy is round and plump, and he's crawling around on his mama and sister like crazy. Those fluids were just what he needed to get a jump start again. That's one thing I'm keeping on hand from now on that I didn't have...a bag of fluids JUST IN CASE. Boy that sure made a difference in my little man! He's doing well again right now...but keep those prayers coming...they've kept him alive so far ladies!! We appreciate ALL the support we've gotten here in this wonderful FRIENDLY thread!! You are all wonderful and I am so grateful!! We're keeping our fingers and puppy toes crossed for some of those babies to be born tonight!! |
Awwwwwwwww Nicki I'm so glad hes doing better.
He better stop giving us these scares.
Praying still for the lil guy
Been there done that with the bag of fluids at home.
Next time my vet told me she will show me how to use the ringers.
I had "puppy flu" one time with 6 week old puppies
I hate using the needles. But Aidyn is so tiny..I doubt you could even use ringers with tiny puppies like him. I dont know.
I'm glad things are looking up !!!
