Have you done a disk cleanup, error check and a defrag? If you get the message "You do not need to do a defrag now" go ahead a do one anyway. This puts all the little "bits and pieces" back together. Be sure to do a scan disk first and click the box to "automatically fix errors". This should help with the error message.
