And as to keep-away games try running away and pretending to be really interested in something like a dog toy (lots of high pitched noises squeeking the toy) I'll bet you anything you like the dog will think he's missing out on something much better than a dumb old stick!

At least it works with Dougal! He likes chewing sticks at the park so I squeak his squeaky tennis ball and run away cackling that "it's mine, all mine!"
