My Rusty didn't bark as a pup.. The first time he did, I had to shout and let everyone know LOL! I also taught him to bark as a trick, so that no-bark could be taught...for the middle of the night you know.
As far as training, he was not hard. It took him 2 weeks tops. We started by having pads down in 3 places so he was always within near reach to a pad and I bought some of that stuff in a bottle to help him find the pads........no problem. We also took him very frequently, maybe once every 3o minutes so he learned what we wanted...
As he grew bigger I eliminated the extra pads one by one until there was one. He then decided he would rather use the outdoor facilities, so he does, and very, very, very rarely does he ever use the inside pad anymore.
