I think it would be more of a concern if the puppy was the yorkie, and the great dane was the adult dog. I bet your yorkie can take care of himself, but I would be a little concerned about the big paws. My baby yorkie and I came across a bull master (correct name? huge heavy dog), a the vet. He was very friendly (and slobbery) and his owner refused to keep him to himself. Trixie was very scared and did her "Diva Dive". As fast as light, she jutted forward with a swift bark and nip. It scared that huge dog across the room. She was only 3 mos. at the time, so I think you big guy will take care of himself. I would introduce them carefully tho'.
