Hi Chrissy, I personally have not had the epidural but my husband has had many of them. He has stenosis of the spine and has had 2 back surgeries within 4 months. The surgeries have not helped and he is in constant pain. The doctor at the pain clinic has tried as many as 6 injections (epidural) at one time in his spine. Sometimes they give him a little relief for a few weeks but the pain is NEVER completely gone. He said that the never feels the injections after the numbing but sometimes he has pain going down his leg and into his feet. The doctor has decided that he will not do any more epidurals. Hubby will be on pain medication the rest of his life and will never be completely free of pain. Hope this helps you some. Good luck with your injections.
