 Epidural for neck pain
Has anyone ever had an epidural for pain (besides one for delivering a baby)?
I have a few herniated disks in my neck that are causing me alot of pain and some other things. Thursday they are giving me an epidural under sedation and Im scared to death.
Years ago another dr tried to give me one with a local to numb it and it didnt happen I had a panic attack and passed out. And I totally chickened out the last time. This dr said it was actually good I did because the way this old Dr was doing it was very dangerous. And this dr actually no longer practices medicine in my state anymore.
Has anyone had this and it actually worked?
THey are doing some testing while doing this also to make sure its my nerves in my neck causing the problem and not the disks themselves. Im praying its just the nerves cause if its not I may need surgery. |
