I bought the CC pin brush that has brass pins which is supposed to have the same ionic effects at the brush you are talking about (ie shine, no static) while being better suited for our breeds coat. I am actually really happy with it It makes his hair so shiny and soft with none of the static that some other brushes leave behind (especially with how much brushing we do before/during our time in the ring.

When I asked the CC rep about the brush in your pic she said that it wasnt something that was appropriate for a long and silky coated dog. Instead she upsold me by selling me the mini slicker brush for the feet and being the sucker I am I couldnt resist It does make his feet look like he was groomed by a pro handler so its a win-win situation.
