I have an English Mastiff. I cannot speak for the Dogue De Bordeaux (french Mastiff) but, it depends on how the dog has been trained and raised. My Mastiff is very gentle and careful around my yorkies and poodles.... with that being said, this is not a decision that should be taken lightly. Research everything you can about the breed before you make a decision. Check out the breeder- why can't she sell the pups? health issues, temperment issues, conformation issues, etc....
