Mine get this every once in awhile and the vet calls it collitis. It is an upset of the GI tract by eating something that doesn't agree with them or stress. I would have a fecal test to rule out other bacteria first though. The vet will usually tell you to feed a bland diet, chicken and rice or just rice cooked in chicken broth until their poop gets back to normal.
