Actually if you get Dawn dishwashing liquid and shampoo him with that and then put a good conditionar on him that should actually do the trick. I'm not sure what was put on the coat but I would assume it was maybe Black Rage a rinse out temp hair color and it will wash out. A clarifiying shampoo would be Coat Handlers but you buy it at like woodpeckers.com or petedge.com...but in the mean time just use the dawn...
