You just described me perfectly- barefoot or flipflops. When we get a cold front I wear ballet flats but that's as far as I'm willing to go shoe wise.
When I visit my mom in NC in winter I freeze. She bought me a pair of boots so I wear them up there when I have to but I hate them. I'm not used to real shoes and I hate coats and sweaters and being all suffocated with clothing, lol.
