I think you are very wise to consider a change from Eukanuba. If you check out the ingredients - you'll see that Euk. is pretty full of allergens, and that can be a recipe for disaster for some dogs. For some, it's fine. Personally, I'd rather feed premium ingredients to my stinkers. Plus, Iams/EUK was busted for animal cruelty in their dog testing a few years ago - so, for me - that's a consideration as well.
Some good brands to consider are: Natures Variety, Evangers, Canidae, Orijen, California Natural, Natural Balance. These foods can usually be found at smaller pet boutiques and/or feed stores.
