I have always had "indoor" cats because I know they tend to wander. Also, they don't bring home illness, fleas, or worms either. We live a block off a very busy street (four lanes at 40 mph which means 45-50). One day we had to tell our neighbors that their cat was laying in the street. It was very hard.
