Our guy is almost 1 year old and held it in his cage for 11 hrs the other day. But as soon as we got home and took him out he made it outside just off the porch before he let it go. Didnt even bother with finding a place to cock his leg.
Can they be house trained? Yes, Is it hard? It wasnt with Aiden, Does it take a long time? Took us about 3 months. Can they be 100% house trained? I dont know yet. We still put him in his cage when we are gone for a long time.
What I have learned with dogs is not to expect too much until they are about 6-7 months old. That is my opinion anyways. You get out what you put into it. I look back and cant really remember when we were potty training him. So it must not have been to bad. Now our only problem is getting him to sleep at night he likes to roam the house. |
