Those types of diets (and anything that recommends extreme food elimination of any kind) - (omg I could go on and on here) can not only mess with you psychologically, in terms of food, but they can actually change your body chemistry to the point that it no longer can respond correctly to hunger and fullness (chemically). Dangerous things to flirt with - been there, done it.
I'd listen to the wise folks like Nikki - and those who are doing WW - bc you can *eat* rather normally and still lose weight. |
I agree. i.e. a low carb diet will prob. make someone lose weight but once they start eating carbs again they will gain all the weight back, it's just not healthy. I eat fats, etc but i am trying to eat healthy fats and sugars in fruit, whole grains, instead of white bread and pasta, etc.
