Default How to break this habit??

Britney has always had the habit of demanding to be in control on her walks; sometimes she has to be on the side closest to the street and sometimes she has to be directly against a wall.

Living in the city, this presents a problem. If she doesn't get her habit she will literally stop walking.

I try to keep a tight grip on her leash and allow for little tension so that she can't get but so far. I also try not to baby her and pick her up or let her get her away.

Any suggestions on how to stop her from doing this?
