Thank you everyone....
I just received a call from the vet and he said that I can bring Toby home and try and see how he does in his own environment. His bowels and bladder seem to be working fine and he is also showing no signs of pain, but he is still refusing to eat. That might be due to the IV he has had, or because he is nervous staying at the hospital. They did tell me that he seems to be very scared, but I am not certain that he isn't still shaking due to pain. I guess time will tell....
We are bringing him home this afternoon.
All his tests seemed to have come back inconclusive and are not giving us any indication as to what this might be. They also tested for Pancreatitis and although those tests were somewhat elevated, they seem to think that it isn't a problem. I'm not so sure because his Lipase(sp) came back a bit high.
It could be that he is in the beginning stages of Pancreatitis and that is why the tests are not conclusive. I will have to watch him closely for any other signs.
Thank you all so much for keeping him in your prayers and I guess we will just have to wait and see how he does this weekend.
to all of you, from Toby and myself
