I know that the 'Common Buzzard' that we get here in the UK will feed on live Rabbits and other small mammals..also other birds occasionally. Never heard of any Birds Of Prey taking small dogs in this country though?( I hope!) I see a pair of Buzzards flying quite high in the sky from my garden almost everyday...but i don't think they are a threat..we have alot of farmland around here and i'm pretty sure they are more interested in the Rabbits!
