I think we *all* go through this fear - surgery is scary, it seems, no matter what. I think it's important to find a very experienced vet - and to get thorough pre-op bloodwork done beforehand. I'm not a big fan, personally, of the cheaper spay-neuter clinics. And, just know that these babies snap back surprisingly fast - often, in a day!
