I am new to this forum. I lost the love of my life two months ago, Bellaluna. She was an 8 month old beautiful girl yorkie. She was startled by a loud noise and jumped out of her bag, ran across the street and was hit by a car. I have been devastated. I have all her pretty clothes, toys, etc. I still have not buried her ashes as its been too difficult. She brought me so much joy. She went everywhere with me. I am self-employed so she was my constant companion. I was going to wait awhile before getting a new puppy to love. I wanted to honor Bella in that way. I feel I know yorkies pretty well as I had researched, studied, talked to people, before getting Bella. I had not trouble potty training her, she was calm, playful, and well-behaved. This is why yorkies are my favorite and I would like to have one again. Everyone loved her. Is it anyone's opinion that it is too early to get another one this year? Nothing will ever replace my little Bella and she will always be in my heart. I come home everyday, live alone, and my home is empty without her energy. I can't listen to music as it makes me cry. I wonder if anyone out there has been through a loss like this. Don't want to depress anyone, just asking.

Oh baby....how AWFUL for you...that must have been just AWFUL!!!!

I think you should get another baby. Your setup is PERFECT for a Yorkie as you can take it to work with you and be with it all the time. I have had 4 in my lifetime and that was not your fault. Each one is sooooooooo different and has a personality all it's own..so you will NOT be replacing Bella, you will have a whole new little person to make you happy. GET ONE.
