Bernie has had his stitches out and is allowed to return to "regular activity!" LOL, whatever that is.
He is still favoring the leg, especially when he's tired out, but the sparkle is back in his eye!
We had a scare last Monday. We got home and he had removed a couple of stitches himself!
A phone call to the vet, and a trip to the store later, and Mr. Bernie was fitted with an e-collar.
He took it in stride (he really is a good boy) but had trouble with the concept that his head had gotten bigger. Silly boy kept crashing into things.
The biggest problem we had with the collar was Ginger. I think it offended her. LOL, she is offended by so many things. She kept following him around and chewing on it. Then sitting in a corner and pouting. I'm not sure, but I think she was trying to get it off of him.
Bernie is doing well. We're still icing the area daily since he still seems to be a little sore, but he's off all meds, using the stairs (sometimes...sometimes he's tired and he just waits for us to carry him)
