I am new to this forum. I lost the love of my life two months ago, Bellaluna. She was an 8 month old beautiful girl yorkie. She was startled by a loud noise and jumped out of her bag, ran across the street and was hit by a car. I have been devastated. I have all her pretty clothes, toys, etc. I still have not buried her ashes as its been too difficult. She brought me so much joy. She went everywhere with me. I am self-employed so she was my constant companion. I was going to wait awhile before getting a new puppy to love. I wanted to honor Bella in that way. I feel I know yorkies pretty well as I had researched, studied, talked to people, before getting Bella. I had not trouble potty training her, she was calm, playful, and well-behaved. This is why yorkies are my favorite and I would like to have one again. Everyone loved her. Is it anyone's opinion that it is too early to get another one this year? Nothing will ever replace my little Bella and she will always be in my heart. I come home everyday, live alone, and my home is empty without her energy. I can't listen to music as it makes me cry. I wonder if anyone out there has been through a loss like this. Don't want to depress anyone, just asking.
Heart-broken yorkie owner who is healing,
Belinda
I am so sorry for your loss. Bellaluna will always be in your heart and you can't replace her, but another puppy would give you companionship and you can honor Bellaluna by being a good mom to another little Yorkie. I would get another one now and fill your empty house with love and activity. Keeping busy is very healing and another little one would help your heart heal. God bless.
