I am so very sorry for this great loss... I have lost 4 yorkies in the past.. my first family are all gone.. I miss everyone of them so much.. but my getting another one only proved to me.. I needed so bad to hold and cuddle yet another baby in my arms..and to me it is an honor to a lost loved one to feel the need to have another one.. for it shows how much you loved the one you lost and need to fulfill your heart again..
you can never replace the one you lose.. but you can add joy to your heart and soul again.. I did.. and I will never forgot my past yorkies what so ever.. I think of them often.,. no two are alike.. but you soon love the new one for their own ways...
I say fulfill that empty heart.. and do what you think.. not what others tell you to do..

also may I suggest you get a carrier with a saftey clip attached to the inside.. a harness then clips into it.. so they cannot jump out. and if they do and are wearing a harness they will hang out. but not get hurt or get away.. this is just a suggestion... I have learned over the years and lots was by trial and error...

good luck and I hope you post on this thread if you decide to get a new puppy to love yet again....my god bless you.... and guide you in the right direction.....((((((hugs to you ))))))anne
