I will take the hugs for sure! And maybe even one of those cocktails, but I am no celebrity..lolol.
I had to fill out a bio today that will be used to describe me during the awards ceremony. I went to my supervisor with almost a blank page because I dont see what I do as extraordinary. She laughed and said we as nurses see it as only ordinary stuff where others see it differently.
It IS a hard job but rewarding. It never even occurs to me that not everyone would even WANT to do it.

I have worked with many nurses who only do it for the money. That isnt me for sure.
I was 24 when I lost my mom to cancer. I knew then that I wanted to give back all that we had been given during her 8 yr battle. My mom had great nurses.
We are 10K nurses short in the state of FL alone!!!

As the baby boomers retire we will have a larger demand for nursing services but nurses too will be retiring
SO!!! Any interested in nursing give me a shout. I will be glad to answer any questions. There is no shortage of jobs here or even in YOUR city.
