Hi everyone. My little Lewis needs some help! Our vet is closed and I'm contemplating whether or not to take him to the emergency Vet...
Let me fill you in.
Lewis sleeps with us in bed. Well, I noticed him shivering about 4am. He never shivers except right out of the bath when he's wet and chilly. He was warm on me and on nice covers.... I shrugged it off, got out of bed to go to the bathroom. When I came back hubby was in the other bathroom starting a bath for Lewis because he'd had really bad (he said "explosive") diarrhea. It was mostly liquid, with a few clumps as well... sorry for being graphic. It was a bit greasy as well. We got him cleaned up... and the bed. yuck.
So, this morning about 8am I took him out to pee... he tried and tried and tried to poop, bless his heart... but nothing came out. Only a teeny tiny bit of
yellow liquid bile. All day long, he's only peed once. He's acted fine. Doesn't seem any different. He is sleeping now, but this is how he normally is this time of day. Hubby just took him out to potty and he didn't pee.... he also tried and tried and tried to poop again...but nothing!
I'm getting worried...really regretting that I didn't take him to the vet this afternoon.
I limited his food today....he had maybe a 1/2 small handful. He eats Bil Jac.... I've watched his water bowl today and he has touched it only once.
What should I do? Please msg quickly.
