I wear diamond studs on a daily basis as its easy and they go with everything. I personally think if you are going to wear them daily I like small and dainty as it goes with casual clothes great. My husband already bought some beautiful but tiny diamonds studs off ebay for $79 for my baby Tess, and they have gorgeous clarity. I was really impressed since that is such a cheap price. You might try lookign on ebay. I know it can be scary sometimes to order something like diamond earrign off of ebay but just make sure the seller has a lot of feedback and gives you all the info on the diamonds and also that they have a satisfaction guarantee.
