There is only one classification for Yorkshire terriers and that is "standard." The standard is 7 pounds and below, not 4-7 pounds. I asked Yorkietalk administration to change the wording in, frequently asked questions, the link you provided because I think it causes some confusion, but they said it just means that most yorkies are between 4-7 pounds. However the YTCA states that weight "Must not exceed seven pounds." So a yorkie may be over standard, but it can never be under standard. See
http://ytca.org/standard.html for more information. Other breeds of dogs have different classifications such as the poodle whose classifications include, standard, miniature and toy. All yorkies are in the "toy" classification with the standard being 7 pounds and below.
