I want to hear as much as I can about your experience with owning them, and especially owning them around yorkies.

Thanks!
We got a GSD (puppy) about 4 weeks ago , I had been thinking about it all year but my husband and daughter were very set that they want it this breed as we had one in the past (before my yorkies ) and I was very concerned because of the size difference between the two.
well we got a male puppy and it's very difficult , the puppy wants to play with my girls and him being at around 17-20 pounds is not working out , my girls get so mad at him and he is not being gentle at all.
He is only 12 weeks old right now and my husband -kids keep telling me that he is just a puppy and he will change as he grows up but last night (I free feed my girls & he is on schedule because he will eat all the time if we let him) he went to my girl's food and started to eat and one of the girls went to it as well , and he attacked her , my yorkie went right back at him , and there it was a little fight with crying from my yorkie ( so now I know he has a food aggression behavior) I got so scared, nothing bad happen as he is just a puppy but imagined if he was a big dog. Anyway I got very upset and put him outside right after that, and honestly I don't want him here anymore......I don't trust him around my yorkies and it scares me to death thinking something bad can happen later on.
I don't want to take any chances and wait and see if it will work or not , because of the size difference I know my yorkies are the ones in risk........I don't think is fair for the gsd puppy to stay in the byard and live outside , and I'm seriously thinking of re-homing him ......my husband agrees and I haven't talked to my daughter yet ( I know she will be heart broken).
