And that behavior will go one, I have a female in heat now her first heat and she is only 11 months I have taken NO chances the males are seperated from her by two gates and then she is in a expen.Normal for them to do nothing but wait cry whine not eat and start fueds. My males are seperated also now for she is in standing heat and it makes it worse. Belly bands and diapers will not stop them from breeding.Unless you want a pregnancy with this 8 month old female I would suggest seperate rooms and doors shut at all times.Better if they are not seen or smelled the male will settle down a bit if you can do that.
It has seemed like forever but it does end and all will go back to normal with no mishaps!
Males can mount a female even if she is bigger they will squat for them .ANd they can jump and climb over pens also.
