I think it all depends on how you approach it. My Yorkie is 3 years old, 4.5lbs. and I have a 3 year old nephew that lives with me. Yes, we had our moments, but I aggressively used positive training on BOTH my Yorkie AND my nephew and they get along great. My nephew loves to just kiss and play with my Yorkie. Bounce, in turn, loves him too and always gives him kisses. If you use positive training on both, you'll be fine. Contrary to what most people believe, it is possible to have young kids and Yorkies.
