Illnesses is one of the draw backs to showing...there is a virus called.."dog show crud"...a breeder recently lost one of her champions to it...take a spare pair of shoes and always change before getting in the car...wash your hands when you come home and change your clothes before touching your dogs...I always left my carrier outside and cleaned it before coming inside...I have only had one bad bout of a virus run through my Yorkies after a show, 8 of about 14 were quite ill.....unfortunately when you have dogs at home it can be a real mess of upset bowels and stomach..and even worse. |
