I was upset thinking you have to be kidding me.
When we finally got to see the ortho dr he told us the reason they wait before seeing the patient is so the swelling will go down by the time the ortho dr sees them. so waiting is what the ortho drs do

Oh boy. I know I'm going to get in trouble. But for discussion purposes only:
If your son fell again tomorrow would you wait a few days for the swelling to go down? I doubt it. If he had a complete break it can be life threatening and the only way to know would be xray.
