Default Making the switch to Raw

Here are some RAW possibilities; There's another form of RAW and it's called "The Prey Model" method. The idea is to mimic mother nature as much as possible and feed whole animal parts. The chewing, ripping and tearing at the meat works wonders for a dog's teeth! And, they think it's a fun workout! You can also grind your own raw. The purchase of the grinder will pay for itself within the year! You can also check and see if there's a raw food co-op in your area and order your raw dog food (grinds and/or whole) from them for a lot cheaper than NV or other brands. But yes, it's a fantastic way to go by starting out (or stick with) with NV! Raw was a journey for me, and it is (for the most part) for everybody to some degree. Tweaking with the protein/bone/offal ratio is a big part of a raw feeder's life. Like Wylie's mom said, cold turkey switch is the way to go for most dogs. Yahoo has a few support/chat groups for raw feeders as well! There's also a wealth of info in the net about raw. Rawfed.com, rawfeddogs.net, rawlearning.com
