Conner was about 9 months old before he could hold it all night. We take him out at 10 p.m., and I take him out at 6:30 a.m. when I get up.

Before that, he would wake up my husband (good boy) by kissing him on the face if he had to go (usually between 3a and 4 a). I think he woke up hubby because he is the one to take him for his last pee at night.

On weekends, he likes to sleep, so he will not go until about 8:30 a.

He is trained to go outside, but he has a pen. We just put him out the back window and he has a little ramp to go to his enclosed pen. That way we don't have to worry about other animals (especially late at night).

Conner is a 10 pounder and it is a very very rare occasion when he wakes us up to go potty. I also do not take away his water. He gets up sometimes before he goes to sleep and eats a few kibbles and drinks a little water.

Give it a little more time. I'm sure he will do better.
