We just switched to raw almost 2 months ago and I couldn't be happier. I am using the Nature's Variety Medallions. If you go to their website you can put in your zip and it will tell you places near you that may have it. Call first because some might not carry the raw but have their kibble/can food.
I am thrilled that we switched because Blaze would not eat much either and he never turns his nose up now.
You might want to pm Wylie's Mom (Ann) or MyFairLacy (Michele) they are the ones that helped me out and both have a lot of knowledge regarding the matter.
As far as cost - it depends, I find that the rabbit is the most expensive here (NY) at $15 per bag and then the others Venision and Lamb are about $12 per bag. We tried Beef but that was in the beginning and Blaze was itching a lot. I might try it again because he now does not itch at all!
I think he is allergic to some form of grains.
As far as transitioning them, I took the advice of Michele and Ann and just switched them cold turkey and they both did fine. There was no upset stomach issue's at all.
I recommend going to nature'svariety.com and reading on there if you havent already. You can calculate by your pups weight how many medallions you need to feed!
Good luck and I hope everything goes as well for you as it has for us!
Amie
